Who could be so passionate about a single cooking ingredient that they devote a business to it? 

Meet Courtney Dudman Conley, owner of C Salt Gourmet based in Santa Ana. Courtney adds sea salt to everything she cooks and praises its health benefits, texture and clean flavor.

Her specialty is a chocolate candy with pistachios, dried tart cherries, sea salt, and drizzled with homemade caramel that’s the perfect marriage of sweet and savory. 

“Everything that I’m crazy about in one tasty little bite,” Courtney says. 

Once just a hobby to give to friends, her chocolate creation was discovered earlier this year by the owner of Promelis Market in Newport Beach who tasted one bite and immediately ordered 40 bags for Valentine’s Day. 

Now you can find the darling, aqua-blue Chinese take-out boxes of Pistachio Cherry Chocolate with Sea Salt at Mother’s Market, Promelis , and small bags at the Gypsy Den in Santa Ana and at The CAMP in Costa Mesa.
